1. Overview
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) manages accommodation for pilgrims at Tirumala and Tirupati through its rest house system. Bookings made through the official TTD online portal (ttdsevaonline.com) and at counter booking offices are subject to TTD's cancellation and refund policy, which is designed to ensure fair access to limited accommodation for the millions of pilgrims who visit each year.

3. How to Cancel a TTD Rest House Booking
Online Cancellation
- Visit ttdsevaonline.com and log in to your account
- Navigate to "My Bookings" or "Accommodation Bookings"
- Locate the booking you wish to cancel
- Click "Cancel Booking" and follow the prompts
- You will receive a cancellation confirmation via SMS and/or email
- Refunds (where applicable) are typically credited within 7–14 working days
Counter/Offline Cancellation
- Visit the TTD Accommodation Management Cell at Tirupati or the Accommodation Counter at Tirumala
- Present your booking confirmation and valid ID proof
- Fill out the cancellation request form
- Refund (if applicable) is processed via the original payment method or a demand draft
Phone Cancellation
You may call TTD's pilgrim helpline at 0877-2277777 (available 24×7) to cancel bookings made online. Phone cancellations may require your booking reference number and ID proof details.
4. Non-Refundable Bookings
Certain bookings are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Bookings made under special festival schemes (e.g., Brahmotsavam premium packages)
- Discounted or promotional rate bookings explicitly marked as non-refundable at the time of booking
- Bookings where the check-in date has already passed
- No-show situations where the pilgrim did not check in on the booked date without prior cancellation
5. Date Change / Modification Policy
TTD allows date modifications for accommodation bookings subject to availability:
- Date changes can be requested up to 24 hours before the original check-in time
- A nominal rescheduling fee may apply
- If the new date has a higher tariff, the difference must be paid
- If the new date has a lower tariff, the difference may be credited as a voucher (not cash refund)
- Date changes are subject to room availability for the requested new dates
6. Refund Processing Timeline
- Online payments (UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card): 7–14 working days to original account
- Cash payments at counter: Refund issued as demand draft or cash on same day (subject to amount)
- TTD wallet/credit: Refunds to TTD wallet are usually processed within 48 hours

7. Special Circumstances
Natural Disasters / Force Majeure
In the event of natural disasters, declared emergencies, or other force majeure situations (floods, landslides, earthquakes) that prevent access to Tirumala, TTD typically offers full refunds regardless of the normal cancellation timeline. Announcements are made on the official TTD website and through the helpline.
TTD-Initiated Cancellations
If TTD cancels your booking due to maintenance, renovation, overbooking, or other operational reasons, you are entitled to a full refund plus priority rescheduling for an equivalent room on your preferred alternative date(s).
Medical Emergencies
TTD exercises compassion in genuine medical emergency situations. If you or a family member experiences a serious medical emergency preventing travel, you may apply for a full refund by providing a valid medical certificate from a registered doctor. Each case is evaluated individually by TTD management.
